Responsibilities
Work closely with translators and project managers to:
- Prepare various source files to ensure compatibility with CAT tools and our translation workflows (InDesign, Illustrator, Word, etc.)
- Format translated documents so the layouts match the original while taking into account text expansion, fonts, and language-specific rules.
- Apply proper typography standards for different languages, including right-to-left (Arabic, Hebrew), double-byte languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Asian languages), and accented European languages.
- Maintain visual consistency for global brands across images, tables, charts, graphics, and complex layouts.
- Prepare print-ready or web-ready files for clients and conduct final layout checks to ensure the delivered file is clean, consistent, and visually aligned with the client’s original material.
- Be responsive, reliable, and able to meet deadlines in a remote setting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience/expertise in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, QuarkXPress, Microsoft Office, and other mainstream DTP tools on Mac/PC.
- Communication skills in English (written and verbal). This is a must.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with international teams and adapt to diverse cultural workflows.
- Attention to detail and layout accuracy.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the code of conduct across all assignments.
